Minimum Training/Education Required: One year factory experience or equivalent, EPA Type I and II Certification for mechanical position, Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

General Description:
Assist in the design, development, and testing of new products and redesign of existing products. Provide technical support and/or training for Sales/Marketing, Applications, Service, Production, Purchasing, and Documentation departments. Schedule multiple assignments simultaneously.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist in the creation of new products and systems from concept to final form. Create and build displays and mock systems for trade shows and field training seminars.
· Coordinate assignment schedules with other departments.
· Requisition all components required.
· Construct working prototype based on concept outlined by design team.
· Conduct tests and collect data according to test plan.
· Work from sketches or final form drawings of product to include: sheet metal, wiring diagrams, wiring harness, assembly procedures, and test procedures. Conform to ISO 9001:2000 standards and procedures.
· Knowledge of generating new part numbers and bills of material for new product.
· Knowledge of generating cost estimates for special products.
· Provide technical support to Sales/Marketing, Applications, Service, Production, Purchasing, and Documentation departments as well as other product teams. Assistance with field support will be required occasionally. Field support could require some travel. Request for support must be quickly scheduled into daily workload.
· Assist the Product Manager with assembly instructions and prototypes for training sessions.
· Assist in fabrication of production test devices and stations.
· Assist in training of Production personnel to properly utilize test equipment.
· Assist in evaluation of alternate parts offered by Purchasing and outside vendors.
· Support Product Manager by gathering technical specifications for Sales/Marketing, Application, Service, Production, Purchasing, and Documentation departments as well as other product teams.
