Qualifications
U.S Citizen, assoc. degree or better, minimum 4 years sea going experience on ocean towing tugs and/or tug & barge units, minimum 5 years shore side vessel operations administration experience, valid USCG deck license as captain, STCW qualified.
Responsibilities
This position will require candidate to take charge of a fleet of nine vessels consisting of four matched sets of deep notch tug and barge units and one small docking assist tug involved largely with domestic (coastwise) operations, with some international voyages. Responsibilities to include direct oversight of small staff of operations department personel, hiring of new/replacement sea going and shore side personel, training, regulatory inspection and compliance, scheduled and unscheduled M&R planning and execution, planning and execution for vessel cargo operations, vessel traffic administration.
