Qualifications
The candidate MUST be certified, have the skills to operate the machinery and possess the aptitude to operate the equipment safely, accurately and efficiently. The candidate must be able to follow all written instruction, have the ability to think on their feet and stay within stated unloading timelines.
This is not just a sit on the lift truck job. From time to time, other tasks involving labor in the yard and unloading services in the warehouse will be required. Becoming part of a successful team, loading and unloading trailers, rail cars and cargoes are the functions of this three-man team.
Job Requirements:
* Efficient, reliable, safe operation of equipment with demonstrated references a must.
* Knowledge of diesel and hydraulic systems is highly desired.
* Be flexible in working overtime, with occasional Saturday work.
* Local candidates only
Preference:
* Intermodal lift experience for 18 months is desired, or alternatively, operation on a job site or pier of a 40,000 lb capacity forklift.
