Job Description:
Role and Scope:

Perform several Petrophysics duties to fulfill the technical requirements within company unit by ensuring suitable logging and interpretation techniques of adequate answer products and implementing cost effective programs whilst assuring high data quality deliverables.

Work performed:
Follow-ups: this includes operation follow up (logging job monitoring, programs amendments, real time data analysis and interpretation) and data follow up (data playback, parameter changing, restoring correct data.

Technical Consultancy: Provide technical advice on logging tools physics, data integration, well environments and drilling condition effects on measurements. Attend and contribute to wells drilling and workover planning meetings.

Programming and well data sheet: programs logging and estimates cost for drilling and workover data sheets. Analyzing the well path, its suitability to run W/L and /or LWD tools. Review existing logs for workover and ensure depth determination and correlation logs.

Job preparation and quality control: review job with contractor?s engineers before logging. Providing well and logging report header information. Discuss expected data quality in known formation and hole conditions with contractors. Address contractor?s needs difficulties and issues and agree on best solutions. Performs post job data quality and depth control, aligned with building quality database. Analyze logging efficiency. Measure quality development of service companies.

Correspondence and reporting: internal, shareholders and with service companies. Well files and completion reports petrophysical section.

Data handling: Managing and controlling, depth shifting / splicing of log data prior to entry into database. Archiving digital data. The types of data handling are:

Physical data archive inform of logging prints, tapes, floppies and CD?s.
Raw log data using log-DB loaded by Technical Assistant.
Distribute data to company and shareholders.
Corporate data base, using FINDER where data loaded by Technical assistant.
Graphic and/or image files archiving and accessing control using NT server.

Interpretation and data analysis: quick look interpretation and data analysis for operational decision making. Final élan interpretation, using Geoframe to identify lithology volumes and fluids saturation. Integrate interpretation with core and test data. Review and correct interpretation performed by contractors. Provide service companies input parameters to interpretation and data analysis modules.

Safety and environment protection: update, review and follow up all safety reports written by service companies, and analyze safety development index, which is the measure of how contractors improve in safety practices with respect to quality and logging efficiency.

Technical updates: Follow up development of tools and methods of data acquisition and interpretation, by attending technical seminars, and reviewing technical papers, publications and manuals.

Studies and project: involvement in reservoir characterization studies and contributes in special investigations, technical review, problem solving teams. USAU / reservoir monitoring campaigns, data acquisition and analysis projects.

Administration: Checking and settlement invoices. Cost analysis and reporting. Participate in discussion / negotiations with the logging services companies in all relevant contractual issues.

Petrophysics standards: implement, maintain and improve company petrophysics regulations on data management, quality, depth, follow-up, interpretation and technical updates under universal petrophysics integrated control set of standards.

Work relations: for efficient work environment, contacts are essential with other technical disciplines, to discuss, review and advise on operational, technical and assigned tasks.
