Qualifications

Qualification

• Sufficient awareness of material used in Oil & Gas industry.

• Engineering degree in mechanical/electrical/instrumentation.

• 7-10 years experience in relevant discipline in oil and gas industry.

• Good command of spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain correct records and follow up on all material used in the Company to ensure proper entry / update of material heads along with relevant / possible sources of supply.

• Add new material heads as and when introduced based on Company demand and usage. Develop vendors list and solicit interest for bidding on newly introduced material heads in coordination with procurement staff.

• Coordinate with relevant users to define clearly selection criteria against each material head used within company and register relevant vendors accordingly.

• Continuous sourcing [by means of market survey, domestic and international] for new vendors from different geographical areas that can contribute to and add value to our sourcing activities of required material heads to achieve better prices/deliveries/quality services.

• Set criteria, policies, procedures for vendors’ qualification and the acceptance of new vendors.

• Supervise preparation, completion of pre qualification questionnaires and ensure availability of all necessary information for end users evaluation. Monitor and Follow up on completion of evaluation cycle and obtain approvals for the addition of new vendors in line with Company policy & procedures.

• Supervise the correct registration of vendors under their material heads and enhance & develop the model of vendor registration module within Company material system. Generate necessary reports for management review periodically.

• Supervise the update of vendors’ information and performance evaluation on regular basis. Monitor the performance of vendors in terms of response to ITBs, technical compliance, commercial competitiveness etc.

• Monitor material heads with limited qualified vendors and ensure enough vendors are developed to eliminate monopoly.

• Participate in Audit visits to vendors prior / after registration as may be necessary.
