Qualifications
Prior maritime experience required. Four year degree from maritime academy preferred. Knowledge of tug and barge operations a plus. Should be familiar with human resource management practices.
Responsibilities
Responsible for over 50 tugboat crewmembers including job postings, resume/mariner background and required document reviews, personnel interviews, crew rotations scheduling and transportation logistics. Interface with payroll department, vessel dispatch for 30 tugs/barges/launces/derricks and maintenance of utilization records. Coordinate activities with marine operations and purchasing departments.
