Applicants should posses a Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
Legal right to work in the U.S. with out visa sponsorship.
Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years experience.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include design review of electrical power systems, fire & gas detection systems, public address systems, alarms systems, control systems and technical specifications for various Offshore Projects such as Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODUs), Floating Production Storage and Offloading Units (FPSOs), Hydrocarbon Production Facilities. Applicants should have experience with Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Power Systems including cable sizing, setting of circuit breaker protection, short circuit calculation and coordination of protective devices. Applicants should have experience with classification of hazardous areas and the selection of electrical components for installation within hazardous areas. Applicants should have experience with industry standards such as the NEC, IEEE, ANSI, IEC, API, etc. Experience working with ABS Rules and USCG CFRs would also be a plus.
Applicants must have good communication skills when dealing with the clients and when working with other engineers in a team environment. Applicants must also have good writing skills when documenting technical issues to clients and experience with standard office computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
