Qualifications
Excellent verbal and technical writing communication skills.
Knowledge of end-user software support methodologies.
Knowledge of Mac, PC or NT, and related networking technologies and computer background.
4-year college degree (BA/BS).
Ability to maintain a professional and positive approach, even under stress.
Excellent administrative skills associated with documenting client contacts and responses to general correspondence.
Ability to identify potential problems based on client input, and setup test cases to confirm reports and prepare for problem resolution.
Ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
Ability to work in an office that is not wheelchair accessible.
Ideal:
Knowledge of terminal operations/container shipping business practices.
Knowledge of NT, Mac and Oracle environments. Some C++ knowledge would also be beneficial.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction with Navis services.
Work closely with software engineers to report and correct problems.
Provide support to project managers, software engineers and other engineers as needed.
Assist project managers with end-user training and support where needed.
Provide training and technical support for client product administrators.
Evaluate performance of training methodologies and work with project managers and other engineers to develop ways to improve them as needed.
