The successful candidate must be an MBA and or professional Marketing qualifications; you must have a progressive marketing career and be proficient in Microsoft Office products. You must have a proven leadership qualities and ability to control, manage and motivate performance across a multi-cultural workforce.
Responsibilities
Our client, a major West Africa based shipyard provide facilities to repair vessels and off shore construction with expertise in ship repair, offshore fabrication, heavy industrial fabrication and warehousing and presently operate dry docks, floating docks and quayside facilities. They now seek a talented and seasoned Marketing Manager in Nigeria.
The Marketing Manager remit is to identify and establish direct relationships with key target decision makers, you will also develop effective sales and marketing programmes that wins business, you will keep abreast of developments in the oil field off West Africa and identify up coming projects at an early stage, maintain a database of oilfield projects and promotions of services through contact with potential clients in offshore construction, logistics and ship repair, leading to RFQs for bidding. Your primary objectives is to produce brochures, maintain a record of bids provided, establish and maintain an up-to-date competitor database to monitor competitive activities, produce annual marketing plans, annual sales budget, monthly report and maintain web site.
The ideal candidate must have proven experience in working in third world locations and preferably have 5 – 10 years experience in marketing management, proven strong commercial skills and knowledge, in-depth knowledge and experience of tendering systems and structure within the industries, ability to prepare and present detailed marketing plans, budgets and management reports.
