Qualifications

-5-10 years of experience in Marine Industry in oil/gas carriers and/or FPSOs/FSOs
-Offshore and Petroleum Industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

Chevron Shipping Co. LLC is accepting online applications for the position of Electrical & Automation Engineer located in San Ramon, California.


This is a shore-based engineering/project management position in Chevron Shipping Company's Marine Services Group. The position is open to both Chevron employees and outside applicants. The position provides engineering services for Chevron's ocean-going vessels and offshore projects that have marine content. Vessels include crude oil tankers, petroleum products tankers, LPG & LNG tankers, barges, drillships, and floating production, storage, and offloading vessels (FPSO's). The position requires occasional domestic and international travel, visits to ships and other offshore units, and eligibility to remain and work indefinitely in the United States.

Job responsibilities will include but not limited to: Provide electrical/automation design engineering services for tank vessels and FP(S)O new build construction, repair and conversion/modification projects; provide electrical/automation engineering and technical support for tank vessels and FP(S)O including preparation and review of specifications and analysis.
