Chevron Shipping Co. LLC is accepting online applications for the position of Hull & Systems Engineer located in Houston, Texas.
This Hull & Systems Engineer position is a shore-based engineering/project management position in Chevron Shipping Company's Marine Services Group. The position is open to both Chevron employees and outside applicants. The position provides engineering services for Chevron's ocean-going vessels and offshore projects that have marine content. Vessels include crude oil tankers, petroleum products tankers, LPG & LNG tankers, barges, drillships, and floating production, storage, and offloading vessels (FPSO's). The position requires occasional domestic and international travel, visits to ships and other offshore units, and eligibility to remain and work indefinitely in the United States.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to: Provide design engineering services for tank vessels and FPSO new build construction, repair and conversion/modification projects; Provide structural engineering/technical support for marine structures including preparation of structural specifications, evaluation of structural repairs, and review of structural design and analysis.
