Responsibilities
The Company:
Ship Owner with major offices based worldwide. Founded in the early 1980’s, our client controls a mixed fleet of over 70 vessels, half of which are wholly owned, the remainder on long term charter.
They have ambitious plans for growth over the coming months with the delivery of more ships to add to their already expanding fleet.
The Role:
You will be responsible for all aspects of the technical management of your assigned ships including implementation of ISM/ISPS, monitoring class requirements, budget management, repair and maintenance.
You will be required to deliver technical and operational support and be expected to identify areas in need of improvement and modification.
You will also manage a team of Technical Superintendents ensuring the successful execution of duties throughout the department.
The Person:
Class 1 (Motor) Certificate of Competency and will be able to demonstrate that you have the knowledge considered necessary for this role. You will have previous shore based experience as a Technical Superintendent and management experience with a ship owner/management company.
