Qualifications
Diversified Global 100 energy company with significant operations in over around the world is looking for a top Exploration Geophysicist to join a world class team of Geoscientists.
<p>
Purpose:<p>
The geophysicist will also work in a multidisciplinary team environment which would be involved in the acquisition and processing of new 2D and 3D seismic data, as well as the seismic interpretation and evaluation of these operated blocks. The team will also be involved in the assessment of new opportunities within Colombia both on and offshore.
<p>
The job will also involve working with and giving regular presentations to both joint venture partners and government agencies. Some travel to South America will be required.
<p>
Leadership<p>
• Work with all members of the team and specialist groups to ensure the offshore blocks are evaluated to the highest technical standard within the time frame of the operated work program.<p>
• Generate new concepts and opportunities both independently and in collaboration with the team.<p>
• Work with other geoscientists both within the asset team, but also within the specialist support teams. Also to work with a global exploration group to ensure compliance with company standards and take part in peer-assists and peer-reviews.

• BS Geosciences
<p>
Experience<p>
• A minimum of five to ten years experience in the upstream petroleum industry, with strong 2D and 3D seismic interpretation, mapping and processing skills at regional and prospect level. The capability to generate new play concepts is required.<p>
• A working knowledge of compressional tectonic settings and deep water depositional systems. Previous experience in the Caribbean, or northern South America would be advantageous.<p>
Languages: Spanish would be an advantage
