Helix
Corporate Human Resources has a need for a dynamic and talented Logistics
Specialist for the Deepwater Group. 
The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for
management of logistics for Helix Deepwater and Well Operations fleet of
vessels.<o:p></o:p>
 <o:p></o:p>
The
qualified incumbent will:<o:p></o:p>
Direction
and supervision of Helix’ designated third-party logistics providers.  Aligning logistics strategies with the
operational needs of Helix’s assets and business units. Developing and
implementing a freight strategy. 
Sourcing and negotiation of contracts for third-party support contracts,
including third-party supply vessels, tugs, barges, and helicopters.  Development of logistics infrastructure
for new markets such as India or Australia.  Sourcing and procurement of marine fuels
and lubes.  Provide leadership in
implementation of Oracle inventory management and other systems.  Cost savings and logistics process
design and improvement.  Supplier
performance and relationship management.

Experience
Required:<o:p></o:p>
Bachelor
Degree required in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain/Logistics related
field.  Master's Degree preferred in
Management or Business.  Certified
Purchasing Manager certification preferred.  3 years experience in Purchasing or
Logistics related field.  Extensive
experience can be substituted for the educational requirements noted above.  <o:p></o:p>
