Qualifications
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
EDUCATION: Formal training program after high school. AA degree preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum five years domestic transportation experience, with at least three years in intermodal or dispatch required. Experience assigning and dispatching moves to motor/rail carriers required. CICS experience preferred.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE LEVEL: Advanced knowledge of transportation equipment, terminology and DOT regulations required.
Knowledge of Customs regulations regarding import/export documentation on rail movements. General office skills to include data entry (1.8/ks with 95% accuracy rate) and basic p.c. skills. Strong communication ability, both written and verbal, and effective interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines. Aptitude to handle multiple requests and tasks and for detail-oriented work, requiring extensive follow-through. Must be able to make decisions quickly and take action, using available information.
