Basic FunctionsThe Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the sourcing and planning functions of the organization. These areas of responsibility include: contract administration and procurement to support optimal customer service, inventory and material planning management, forecast planning/master scheduling and traffic logistics. The position has responsibility for Quality systems administration and IT support functions.Specific ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing and understanding the latest metrics of measurements as they relate to improving the organization's supply chain process.The manager of supply chain will establish vendor service criteria and be responsible for managing existing supplier relationships, integration and performance as well as developing contingency supply plans in the event of unforeseen interruptions in the supply chain process.The successful candidate will ensure flawless execution and implementation of new business while maintaining constant support of base business; minimizing overall inventory and obsolescence risk while driving overall productivity.The Supply Chain Manager will support senior management through efforts to re-conceptualize the Supply Chain to enable Extended Enterprise Management. He/She will interact on a regular basis with Production, Supply and Marketing functions.It is essential that the successful candidate is able to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust and respect with employees, peers, direct reports and senior management. The person in this position must also have cooperative labor management experience.Candidate Profile ExperienceThe Supply Manager will need to be able to handle multiple priorities, be self motivated with a high desire to succeed, be detail oriented and flexible, be comfortable participating on and facilitating cross-functional teams and have excellent communication/problem solving skills within a participative employee environment.The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of supply chain management fundamentals and experience applying these fundamentals, a strong sense of customer service and experience in information technology integration as it relates to support of business processes. Must also be experienced in transformational change management and employee development processes.A technical undergraduate degree is required, MBA is preferred, and must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
