We currently have an opening at our Milwaukee facility for a SENIOR IMPORT AGENT in our growing Import Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for rating of inbound international freight, price quotations, documentation, system entry, and customer service for import (and some export activities). This position will require the successful candidate to initially work the second shift from Sundays through Thursdays. Sundays will be worked in our Chicago O'Hare facility and Monday through Thursday will be worked in our Milwaukee facility. The hours of work on the second shift will vary slightly.
Responsibilities
In the future, as our Import Team grows, the travel may be reduced and the hours may change. The successful candidate will be a highly flexible self-starter who can work autonomously. Furthermore, the successful candidate will possess the following: - a high school diploma or GED; - strong knowledge of U.S. Customs clearance operations, customs brokerage, and transportation import/export operations; - at least two years of related experience, preferably in the airfreight industry; - knowledge of accounting principles, functions, and terminology;and - excellent communication skills with customers and coworkers.We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package that includes a 401(k) plan, Stock Purchase Program, tuition reimbursement, and complete medical, dental and vision coverage.
