Qualifications
: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other related field is required. Ten years of financial management experience, of which five years must have been in an executive management capacity. Strongly prefer a seasoned finance professional with significant leadership experience in the maritime industry.
Responsibilities
Maryland Port Administration (MPA). Duties: This Executive Service position will be responsible for the overall direction of the departments of accounting, budget, procurement, information service, and financial analysis.
The position is responsible for the sound financial management of the agency within a highly competitive maritime environment. The position projects financial trends and develops fiscal policies for the agency. In addition, the position assists the Executive Director with preparation for State legislative hearings, helps negotiate leases and contracts, and oversees analysis of rates.
Position has extensive interaction with Port customers. Knowledge of the port community, customer base, and maritime industry is highly desirable.
