Qualifications
Requires knowledge of and/or experience managing workers' compensation claims for U.S. Government Federal Employees' Workers' Compensation Program or similar compensation programs such as Ferderal Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Program.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the receipt and entry of claims data into an electronic case management system, contacting agency management and supervisory staff, claimants, care providers and Office of Workers' Compensation claims examiners, to elicit the facts of the claim. The individual will also work with agency management and human resources staffs, the claimant, his/her care provider and the OWCP examiner to identify positions where claimants can return to work in either a full or limited/restricted duty capacity. Where appropriate, responsible third parties will be identified and pursued for payment. Employer is a small government contractor in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Salary negotiable.
