Responsibilities

This person will provide leadership to the worldwide Marine business for all activities
pertaining to Marine Classification Societies. Maintain and provide access to all marine certificates
· Communication with Societies, ABO's, Plants, Distributors, Customers and CMC about
certification and processes
· Establish and document certification processes. Publish as necessary. Streamline
processes if possible
· Maintain certification correspondence files for future reference
· Renewal of certificates on a timely basis
· Planning, processing and tracking of Society invoices
· Attain information needed for submittals from responsible engineers and suppliers.
Submit information as necessary for new engines, updates/corrections and renewals
· Maintain an up to date library of all applicable rules and regulations
· Assist distributors in customization as it applies to society rules
· Research and document basic rules as they apply to Cummins Marine and it's
suppliers. Update guide in the Marine Database as necessary
· Establish and maintain relationships with the Marine Classification Societies through
regular visits
· Support new product introduction groups through planning phases
· Evaluate and make recommendations on products, ratings and plants to attain new
approvals or renewals.
