Qualifications

You will have had exposure to a manufacturing, materials inventory or financial business area is a plus, and experience working with a structured software development methodology. You will have a minimum fours years experience with one or more of the following: COBOL, JCL, IMS DB/DC, DB2, and Easytrieve., along with exposure to HP3000 platform is a plus. Exposure to FOCUS or MarkIV is a plus. You will have a bachelors degree in an associated discipline or equivalent experience. You will have the ability to mentor and coach entry level employees, will be expected to show initiative and judgement while performing assigned tasks, and have the ability to work in a multitasking environment. You must be able to work to detailed project schedules, and must be customer oriented with a service attitude. You will have a working knowledge of COBOL. You should have programming skills in at least one language, should be able to demonstrate problem solving ability, and have the ability to work under pressure, be a team player and have customer facing skills. Responsibilities

You will be required to perform technical programming work on relatively complex technical assignments, and have the ability to work in a multi-platform environment. You may be responsible for analysis and development of detailed programming specifications, and may be responsible for performing to detailed programming specifications. You must be able to work independently on most assignments, and must be available to assist with off hours support to resolve system processing issues. You will provide day to day support to meet agreed customer satisfaction levels as measured by a range of operational performance criteria against agreed SLA's, develop software in accordance with standards, to time, to quality and within budget. Your responsibilities will improve Customer Support and Service Delivery, receiving, diagnosing and resolving daily problems/requests and analysing problem history and recommending and initiating service improvement programmes.

Projects and Supervision: From specification of client requirements produce technical specification, receiving software from 3rd parties and carrying out system testing, and assisting client with user acceptance testing.
