Qualifications
College Degree in associated discipline or at least 9 years of solid IT experience.
Understanding the CSC outsourcing business environment and contract requirements. Understanding the challenges of the client order fulfillment process. Candidate must possess solid business insight relative to Desk Top responsibilities and service delivery models.
Ability to detect and solve a wide range of business problems. Must possess strong oral and written communications skills. Team building and problem solving skills are essential, as well as proven experience in personal and staff development.
Responsibilities
Manage the North American Desk Top organization for the UTC account. Responsible for the effective operation of the Desk Top area while meeting defined performance, schedule and cost objectives. Direct Desk Top break/fix and ICMS services. Coordinate COF process and assure adherence to asset management procedures. Establish and implement refresh strategies to deliver Desk Top products to the customer while ensuring customer satisfaction for the North American business units. Establish standards and policies for the management of Desk Top devices, founded on industry best practices as applied to UTC contractual requirements. Manage the process, facilities and personnel responsible for establishing refresh schedules, coordinate installation schedules, manage third party service providers and suppliers, and, process new, cascaded and surplus equipment. Operate efficiently in a very high volume, disperse environment with a requirement to refresh and support UTC's North American desktop devices. Support the transformation of the Desk Top organization to the CSC/GIS level 2 Help Desk Support model.
