Qualifications
Experienced in Shipboard Structures design and drafting of ship's construction and installation drawings.
Must have five plus years experience in design and preparation of Structures drawings.
Must be Computer Aided Design/Drafting proficient.
Most successful candidates have been shipyard apprenticeship graduates.
Must be experienced with US Naval standards and specifications for ships construction.
Must be a US citizen and able to be granted a security clearance of confidential or higher.

CDI Marine Group, a division of CDI Corporation, and a leader in providing our clients with outsourcing solutions through quality, cost effective engineering, design and logistics services in shipbuilding, systems acquisition support industries and customized staffing, is currently seeking experienced Structural Designers for one of our premier clients based in the Mississippi Gulf Coast area. Our client is an innovative leader in the Shipbuilding Industry for the Construction of United States Naval Ships under United States government contracts for the Department of Defense.
You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of design and preparing detail drawings for ship structures. Naval Architects will perform all necessary calculations. You will utilize Intergraph System as the computer software for design and drawing preparation.
