Qualifications
BS/BA degree in Political Science / Business Administration / Economics / logistics or International Business.
Expected to have 3 to 5 years minimum of related work experience. Areas of required experience need to include
proposal development and project coordination; market research, assessment and evaluation; coordination and facilitation of a group effort involving a diverse range of personnel to develop comprehensive logistics service proposals for clients. Knowledge of logistics, marine transportation, and land transportation for international operations required. Direct experience developing new ventures in Latin America preferred. Broad and general exposure to personal computers and internet web applications and related systems. Strong skills in word processing, flow-chart applications, mapping software, presentation applications, and project management applications required. Exposure to Internet web page development software also required. The position requires a high culture level of skill in oral and written communications and planning and organizing group efforts. Knowledge of history, economy and culture of Latin American countries strongly preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral presentation skills are required. Portuguese or Spanish language capability (oral and written) also preferred. Passport and availability to travel internationally.
Responsibilities
To support logistics design and business development efforts by leading the preparation of proposals and presentations for prospective Crowley Logistics Inc. clients. Provide market and industry analysis to educate and advance the division’s knowledge of trends, key indicators and industry benchmarks. Provide customer relationship analysis to recommend the advancement of service offerings to existing customers. Serve as communications with internal and external constituencies via standard and electronic media. Assists in assessing business case feasibility review by providing directional, analytical, and decision input to Crowley Logistics management
