Qualifications
This position is open in the FPSO Systems Group of SBM-IMDOCO, reporting directly to the Manager FPSO Engineering. FPSO Systems is part of the Discipline Engineering Department.
Senior Piping Engineer will be responsible for the overall design aspects of the process piping systems on the floating production installations, which will encompass conceptual design, design and fabrication drawings, specifications and calculations related to all the piping components.
Senior Piping Engineer will be supervising a team of piping engineers and be responsible for the piping design group, which will be coordinated by the Piping Design Supervisor. The candidate should therefore possess interpersonal and leadership skills to work with and to provide guidelines to the group. Must be able to organize the group, forecast resources requirements and schedule tasks.
The position requires hands on experience with full knowledge of relevant design codes, state of the art calculation tools, and also requires involvement in and, from time to time performing, detailed work.
Responsibilities
Profile:
A relevant engineering degree, preferably Masters Degree, and a minimum of 10 years related experience with at least 5 years in the engineering of offshore production installations. At least 3 years experience with FPSO’s
Experience in the design, specification and construction of process piping systems for offshore hydrocarbon production systems.
Experience in fabrication and assembly of offshore piping systems.
Familiar with offshore design standards and codes for piping systems.
Familiar with marine design standards for piping systems
Experience as a lead with supervisory responsibility and also in managing piping engineering projects.
Well familiar with latest piping products and components for the offshore piping systems.
Familiarity with 2D and 3D design tools and their application.
FPSO experience will be highly regarded.
