Qualifications
This position is open in the FPSO Systems Group of SBM-IMDOCO, reporting directly to the Senior Piping Engineer. FPSO Systems is part of the Discipline Engineering Department.
The SENIOR PIPING DESIGN SUPERVISOR will be responsible for the coordination of the Piping Design Group and the further development of the PDMS 3D design implementation within the group. The Piping Design Group is responsible for the layout of equipment and design of all process piping systems on the floating production installations, which will encompass conceptual design, design and fabrication drawings, related to all the piping systems.
The SENIOR PIPING DESIGN SUPERVISOR will be supervising a team of piping designers. The candidate should therefore possess interpersonal and leadership skills to work with and to provide guidelines to the group. Must bring ability to forecast manpower resource requirements and schedule the designers’ work.
The position requires hands on experience with full knowledge of relevant design codes, design tools including PDMS and AutoCAD, and also requires involvement in and performing of layout and design work. Prior experience with developing PDMS implementation within a piping group will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
Profile:
A minimum 2 year technical relevant degree is preferred.
A minimum of 10 years related piping design experience with at least 5 years in the design of offshore production piping.
PDMS 3D design package application and implementation.
Experience in equipment layout and design of process piping systems for offshore hydrocarbon production systems.
FPSO piping layout and design experience will be highly regarded.
Familiar with offshore design standards and codes for piping systems.
Experience with supervision of a topsides piping design group.
Well familiar with latest piping products and components for the offshore piping systems.
Proficient with modern office software tools.
