Qualifications

Profile:

A relevant engineering degree, preferably Masters Degree, and a minimum of 5 years experience in the related fields.
Minimum of 2 years experience in the design, specification, installation and commissioning of control and safeguarding systems on offshore production installations.
Familiar with offshore design standards (American and European) for instrumentation systems.
Experienced in engineering of control systems for floating production systems.
Familiarity with available software such as INTOOLS is considered a plus.
Experience with MOORE and HONEYWELL Plantscape Control systems.
Conversant with HAZOP activities
Conversant with Classification Society codes and standards

Responsibilities

This position is open in the FPSO Systems Group of SBM-IMODCO, reporting to the E&I Lead Engineer. The FPSO Systems Group is part of the Engineering Department.

The INSTRUMENT ENGINEER will be involved in the overall design of instrumentation, control and safeguarding systems including all related hardware employed on the floating production installations. Task will encompass design, calculation, selection of hardware components, and preparing systems/components specifications and eventually tender analysis and evaluation. There will also be involvement in the installation and commissioning on site and/or offshore.



This position requires supervision of designers/draftsmen providing them with guidelines; and as such, the candidate should be well familiar with requirements for instrumentation design layouts, details and data sheets.
