Qualifications
Profile:
An electrical engineering degree, preferably Masters Degree, and a minimum of 5 years experience in the related fields.
Minimum of 2 years experience in the design, specification, installation and commissioning of electrical systems on offshore production installations.
Familiar with offshore design standards (American and European) for electrical systems.
Experience in conversion of existing electrical systems on trading tankers to suit offshore production would be considered a plus.
Preferably experienced in engineering of electrical power generation and distribution for floating production systems.
Understanding of marine electrical systems
Conversant with Classification codes and standards
Conversant with HAZOP activities.
Responsibilities
This position is open in the FPSO Systems Group, reporting to the E&I Lead Engineer. The FPSO Systems Group is part of the Engineering Department.
The ELECTRICAL ENGINEER will be responsible for the overall design of electrical systems on the FPSO topsides and variety of single point mooring systems. Tasks will encompass design, calculation, selection of hardware components, and preparation of systems or components specifications. There will also be involvement in the installation and commissioning in the yard and/or offshore.
The candidate shall also provide technical support to electrical designers and liaison with suppliers and installation contractors.
