Chevron Shipping Company has an immediate opening for a Marine Hull and Systems Engineer in San Ramon (near San Francisco), California, to join a group providing technical support and project management for Chevron’s ocean-going vessels and offshore projects. Vessels include oil and gas tankers, barges, drillships, and floating production, storage, and offloading vessels (FPSO’s).

The position requires a bachelors degree and ideally 5-10 years’ experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Naval Architecture, Marine engineering, Marine Electrical Engineering, Control System Design. Effective communication skills and leadership experience are important. Knowledge of marine industry practices, standards, and regulations is desirable. Also desirable is experience in marine operations, vessel construction, vessel repair, or LNG/LPG systems.

The position requires occasional domestic and international travel, visits to ships and other offshore units, and eligibility to remain and work indefinitely in the United States.
