Qualifications
Profile:
· An engineering degree in Ocean Engineering or Hydrodynamics, or another appropriate degree;
· Minimum of 10 years experience in the Offshore Industry including at least five years in installation engineering.
· Experience with the site installation of complex or deep water mooring systems, riser systems, or other deep water sub-sea installations.
· Experience with pile and anchor installations.
· Familiar with offshore design standards and codes related to offshore installations.
· Capable of performing detailed installation calculations and component specification.
· Capable of directing sophisticated hydrodynamic analyses.
· Experience in managing site installation work and subcontractors.
· Good writing, presentation and communication skills, including the preparation of detailed installation procedures.
Responsibilities
This position is open in the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Group, reporting to Manager of the group. The Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering Group is part of the Engineering Department.
The Lead Installation Engineer will be responsible for the concept development, design and analysis, detailed procedure preparation, and components specifications for the installation of floating terminals and floating production systems and for the installation of riser systems. The person will also participate in subcontractor contracting and management. He will be at times responsible for the site offshore installation direction and management.
