Qualifications
Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Transportation, Marketing or related field preferred. Five to ten years experience in domestic transportation sales with a service provider, e.g. motor carrier, freight broker or intermodal marketing
Responsibilities
To generate and maintain the required revenue objectives through sourcing new trucking brokerage throughout Crowley Logistics' US domestic marketplace. To eliminate the need to employ outside trucking brokers. To support all activities, sales, operations and pricing within CLI as they relate to these services. High level of understanding of U.S., domestic trade. Analytical skills to do market research and develop customer presentation programs and contracts. Excellent communication skills both written and oral required. Excellent presentation skills. Strong personal computer skills to include specific ability with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of emerging technology to solicit freight business; e.g. internet exchange and freight auction web sites.
