Qualifications
Experience and Education Requirements:
·Demonstrated experience (3~5 years) doing project proposal development.
·B.S. degree desired; work related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
·Computer literate and proficient in MS Office applications.
·Familiar with technical drawing formats and tolerances.
·Familiar with AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.
·Able to work both as part of a team as well as independently.
·Excellent oral and written communication skills.
·Demonstrates professional negotiating and sales skills.
·Ability to multi-task and remain organized.
·Demonstrates an adult concept of responsibility regarding work, ethics and interpersonal relationships.
·May have responsibility for supervising and reviewing the work of others (depending on candidate’s work experience).
Responsibilities
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
·Review project specifications as to appropriateness for use of FREEMAN closures.
·Prepare closure specifications that select the proper style FREEMAN closure for the client’s requirements.
·Locate outsourced components and complementary products as part of project quotation development and bidding.
·Assure that relevant classification society standards and rules are adhered to in definition of closures.
·Prepare quotation including detailed technical specifications.
·Initiate and manage pre-production deposit, letter of credit and freight quotation responsibilities as part of quotation process.
·Request, review and submit proposal drawings from design drafting department.
·Review proposed quote for compliance with FREEMAN profitability expectations.
·Confirm acceptability of requested lead times with production prior to quotation.
·Present comprehensive proposal and supporting documents to client.
·Solicit order from customer based on proposal; follow-up and amend as required.
·Process initial P.O.’s and future change orders per FREEMAN procedures.
·Identify and act upon project elements that may jeopardize quoted job completion date.
·Provide technical product support to customers and sales force.
·Suggest procedures and techniques to improve the proposal and estimating function.
