Port of Onne

The Federal Ocean Terminal is the newest port under the Nigerian Port Authority’s control. It is designed as a transhipment port for West and Central African Countries, and for deep Draught Ocean going vessels that cannot berth in other existing conventional ports in the country. On completion it will accommodate vessels of 60,000 to 70,000 metric tonnes.
The location of the terminal enables it to handle bulk cargo and containers as well as the shipment of raw and finished products to and from Ajaokuta Steel Complex, Aladja Steel Complex, National Fertilising company of Nigeria, Enugu Coal Mining Company, and other industries in the area.
