Overview
The Rotterdam Port Authority [RPA] is a division of the Rotterdam Municipal Port Management and is responsible for safely and efficiently managing shipping traffic throughout the Rotterdam-Rijnmond area in an environmentally friendly manner.
The communication concerning the management of shipping traffic is carried out from traffic control centers and patrol vessels. The RPA is also responsible for the nautical infrastructure of the port, including the management of public berths for sea and inland shipping, the management of bridges and locks and incident control on and from the water.
