Telaurus sets the
Gold standard for Inmarsat service
Award of Gold Service Provider status is recognition of company’s
role in helping meet the satellite communications needs of leading shipowners
and managers

Knolls, NJ. Telaurus has confirmed its position among the maritime industry’s
leading communications companies with the award of Inmarsat Gold Service
Provider status.
The
award of Gold status reflects Telaurus’ position among the top tier of Inmarsat
service providers and the work it has done to put Inmarsat’s range of satellite
services into the hands of users onboard ship.
Telaurus has been distributing Inmarsat services since its
foundation in 1999 and provides its market-leading se@COMM© software
to shipowners and manager which want to communicate via email, fax, telex and
SMS and benefit from controlled web-browsing.

Inmarsat markets its products and services through a network of
distribution partners and service providers operating in more than 80 countries
worldwide. Distribution Partners sell Inmarsat airtime to Service Providers and
also provide a range of business support systems and value-added services.

Service Providers take the lead in selling directly to end-users
and the Inmarsat accreditation scheme is designed to help buyers of satellite
communications systems and services select the most appropriate partner to meet
their communications needs. 
Members of the Gold tier of Service Providers are required to pass
examinations set by Inmarsat to test their knowledge of its network and
services, as well as related hardware and telecom technologies. Gold Service
providers must offer 24 x 7 customer support, and operate a proven customer
