ATHENS, GREECE – March 15, 2012 – Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd (NYSE: EXM),
an owner and operator of dry bulk carriers and a provider of worldwide seaborne
transportation services for dry bulk cargoes, announced today that it will
release its results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2011
before the market open on Friday, March 16, 2012. 
On the same day, Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. EDT, the company’s
management will host a conference call to discuss the results.
