ATHENS, GREECE - April 30, 2012 - Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd (NYSE: EXM),
an owner and operator of dry bulk carriers and a provider of worldwide seaborne
transportation services for dry bulk cargoes, announced today that it will
release its results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2012 after the market
closes in New York on Thursday, May 3 2012. 
On the next day, Friday, May 4, 2012 at 08:30 A.M. EDT, the Company’s
management will host a conference call to discuss the results.
