(May 30, 2012)-- Michael Masserman,&nbsp;Executive Director for Export Policy,
Promotion &amp; Strategy,&nbsp;International Trade Administration,&nbsp;U.S.
Department of Commerce, will deliver the keynote speech at the half-day seminar,
"Doubling U.S. Exports-a Reality Check", to be sponsored by the Containerization
&amp; Intermodal Institute June 25 at the Marriott Chicago O'Hare. The program
will commence at 2 p.m. and will end at 5 p.m., with a cocktail/networking event
to follow.&nbsp;</P>

program, including other blue-ribbon speakers, will discuss President Obama's
initiative to double U.S. exports and will include government officials, major
shippers, 3PLs, carriers, ports and others within the supply chain. Invited as a
welcome keynoter is the Honorable Rahm Emanuel, Mayor of Chicago.</P>

Clifford, CII president, said: "The National Export Initiative (NEI) discusses
how our government can expand efforts to help U.S. businesses grow." He
continued: "This includes winning more foreign government contracts, finding
global buyers, participating in more trade missions and shows, developing more
export financing, and learning new ways to sell products and services
overseas."</P>

been to provide a forum for education, acknowledging industry leadership through
the Connie Awards and to remain relevant through every phase of the development

scholarships of $2,500 each will be awarded to students studying logistics at
Purdue University, Northwestern University and the University of Denver. Event
sponsorships are $1,000, which includes four seats, or $500, including two
