AMI USA centralises spot rate operation

The US
arm of AMI – the world’s largest trade-only airfreight and express wholesaler –
has centralised its Spot Rates department at its USA HQ in Dallas - replacing
separate, smaller operations in its other offices in New York, Chicago, Los
Angeles and Atlanta.
 
The
new department has four full-time operatives, headed by Cesar Fausto, who has
relocated from Los Angeles. It is open from 08:00 (Eastern Standard Time) to
19:00 (Pacific Time), so meeting the requirements of customers anywhere
throughout the USA. Customers can call toll-free on 1-855 SPOT AMI. Responses to
email enquiries are guaranteed within 30 minutes.

AMI’s SVP USA, Peter Weir: “Centralising this function makes better use of our
resources, enabling us to handle a larger volume of enquiries and provide faster
