OAKLAND, CA – April 18, 2007 – Two veterans of the transportation and technology industries have joined International Asset Systems (IAS) in executive capacities, adding significant talent to its highly experienced senior management team.
Richard Hart, former operations executive at global logistics software company GT Nexus, and Mark Yong, former general manager of South Asia for INTTRA, both joined the company in the first quarter. Hart joined IAS in the role of vice-president of business development and Yong is IAS’ new general manager, Asia-Pacific.
Hart, whose role is to develop strategic partnerships to expand IAS’ business opportunities, brings 20 years of operational and management experience to the company. At GT Nexus, he was in charge of sales and partnership management for the portal, significantly increasing the company’s global client base. Earlier, he held product management and development positions at Vitalz, Healtheon, PolyOptimum, and Data Connection. Hart is a graduate of Cambridge University in the UK, and holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
Yong has 14 years of experience in both transportation and e-commerce. He held a variety of positions at P&O Nedlloyd and P&O Containers, advancing from an entry-level sales position to become the company’s general manager of customer service and IT for China. At INTTRA, he oversaw the company’s commercial development in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. He was also director of business development for Alibaba.com, a leading global e-commerce organization and the largest e-commerce company in China. Yong holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Liverpool and a PhD from Oxford University.
