The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) is one of the world's leading ship classification societies. In support of its classification and related services, ABS offers a broad range of technical services to assist owners, operators, shipyards and others in designing, building, operating and maintaining their vessels safety and effectively. Additionally an affiliate of ABS, ABS Group, provides inspection, certification, verification, assessment, quality assurance, and consultation services to the marine and non-marine industries worldwide.
