Aeropres Launches Sustainable Aerosol Propellants

By MGN EditorialMarch 18, 2026 at 02:00 AM

Aeropres Corporation has introduced a new platform of renewable aerosol propellants designed to help brands reduce environmental impact.

Aeropres Corporation, a leading provider of aerosol propellants, has announced the launch of its new AeroNu™ platform of sustainable propellants. According to the company's press release, AeroNu™ is a suite of renewable aerosol propellants designed to help brands in the maritime and other industries reduce their environmental footprint while maintaining the performance, safety, and reliability expected from traditional propellants. 'As the maritime industry continues to prioritize sustainability, we recognized the need for more eco-friendly solutions in the aerosol space,' said Aeropres CEO John Smith. 'AeroNu™ represents a major step forward, allowing brands to transition to renewable propellants without compromising on quality or functionality.' The AeroNu™ propellants are derived from plant-based feedstocks and are designed to be biodegradable and non-toxic. Aeropres states that the new products offer comparable performance to traditional hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) and hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) propellants, making them a drop-in replacement for brands looking to green their aerosol product lines. This announcement comes as the maritime industry faces increasing pressure to reduce its environmental impact. Many major shipping lines and port operators have set ambitious sustainability targets, including goals to cut greenhouse gas emissions and eliminate the use of fossil fuel-derived products. The availability of renewable aerosol propellants like AeroNu™ could help these organizations meet their sustainability commitments across a range of applications, from onboard cleaning products to cargo handling aids. 'Aeropres has really raised the bar with this new platform,' said gCaptain editor Michael Roberts. 'Sustainable aerosol solutions are crucial as the maritime sector works to decarbonize, and AeroNu™ provides a practical, high-performance option that I expect will be widely adopted.'
