Duke Energy has unveiled a long-term resource plan designed to address surging energy demand across South Carolina and the Carolinas, with a strategy that emphasizes reliability, diverse energy sources, and cost management for customers.
According to a PR Newswire release, the plan builds on initiatives already underway and is structured to support the region's expanding economy while preserving flexibility in future energy decisions. Duke Energy stated that near-term actions will prioritize meeting customers' rising energy needs without sacrificing long-term value or optionality in resource planning.
