Two major construction projects in the maritime and transportation sectors showcase ongoing infrastructure investments across the United States.
The maritime and transportation industries are seeing significant infrastructure investments, as evidenced by two recent construction announcements.
According to a press release from RD Management, LA Fitness is under construction at the Tampa RITHM mixed-use redevelopment project in Florida. The new 29,944-square-foot sports club facility is part of the broader transformation of the RITHM site, which aims to create a vibrant commercial and residential hub.
'The addition of LA Fitness to Tampa RITHM is an exciting milestone that will provide the community with a state-of-the-art fitness amenity,' said Richard Birdoff, Principal and President of RD Management. 'This is just one component of the overall vision we have for transforming this site into a dynamic, mixed-use destination.'
Meanwhile, the Haynes Group has been awarded the construction management contract for the $64 million Bruce Sundlun Terminal Modernization project at T.F. Green International Airport in Rhode Island. The 160,000-square-foot terminal upgrade is designed to improve the passenger experience and modernize the facility.
'We are honored to have been selected for this important project at T.F. Green International Airport,' said Michael Haynes, President of Haynes Group. 'Our team looks forward to leveraging our expertise in airport construction to deliver a world-class terminal that will serve the region for years to come.'
These two projects highlight the ongoing investments being made in maritime and transportation infrastructure across the United States. As the economy and global trade continue to evolve, maintaining and upgrading critical facilities like airports and mixed-use developments will be essential for supporting the maritime industry and broader supply chain.
