Polish-Ukrainian defence technology company Molfar Defence Technologies, backed by Front Ventures, will exhibit its low-altitude threat detection radar system at the Future Forces exhibition in Prague this October, with the system already undergoing field testing.
## Defence Tech Firm Molfar to Present Field-Tested Radar System at Prague Exhibition
Molfar Defence Technologies, a Polish-Ukrainian company developing tactical radar systems for detecting low-altitude threats, is set to attend the Future Forces exhibition in Prague on 21–23 October, according to a statement from lead investor Front Ventures.
The appearance marks a notable milestone for the firm, with its radar system already progressing beyond the development stage and into active field testing — a significant step that underscores the accelerating pace of dual-use defence technology development in Central and Eastern Europe.
Front Ventures served as lead investor in Molfar Defence's funding round, positioning the company within a growing portfolio of defence-oriented technology ventures. The Future Forces forum, held in the Czech capital, is one of Central Europe's premier defence and security exhibitions, attracting military procurement officials, technology developers, and industry stakeholders from across NATO member states and partner nations.
While Molfar Defence operates primarily within the land-based tactical defence sector, its radar technology for detecting low-altitude threats — including drones and low-flying aircraft — carries direct relevance for maritime security applications. Port authorities, coast guards, and naval operators have increasingly prioritised counter-drone and low-altitude surveillance capabilities as unmanned aerial systems present growing risks to critical maritime infrastructure and vessel operations.
The company's Polish-Ukrainian structure reflects a broader trend of defence technology collaboration between Ukraine and NATO-aligned partners, driven in part by operational experience gained during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, where low-altitude threat detection has proven operationally critical.
Further details on the radar system's specifications and deployment timeline are expected to be disclosed during the Prague exhibition later this month.
