In a move to expand its South American cruise offerings, Princess Cruises has announced its 2027-28 season aboard the Majestic Princess, which will feature 6 departures across 4 unique itineraries. According to the press release, the season will run from October 2027 through January 2028 and will offer passengers the opportunity to explore 19 destinations, including 15 UNESCO World Heritage sites, as well as an overnight experience in the Antarctic Peninsula. 'Our 2027-28 South America season aboard Majestic Princess is designed to provide travelers with an in-depth exploration of this captivating region,' said Jan Swartz, President of Princess Cruises. 'From the vibrant cities of Brazil to the natural wonders of Patagonia and Antarctica, guests will have the chance to immerse themselves in the culture, history, and stunning landscapes of South America.' The itineraries will include late-night stays in key ports such as Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, and Ushuaia, allowing passengers more time to experience the local nightlife and attractions. The Antarctica overnight experience will give guests the chance to witness the region's awe-inspiring glaciers, wildlife, and natural beauty up close. This expanded South America program from Princess Cruises aligns with the broader trend of cruise lines offering more immersive, destination-focused itineraries to meet the growing demand from travelers seeking authentic cultural experiences, according to industry analysts at The Maritime Executive.
