Redwood Logistics has acquired managed transportation provider Stridas, marking the company's second acquisition in a week as it bolsters its suite of logistics services.
In a move to strengthen its managed transportation capabilities, Redwood Logistics has announced the acquisition of Stridas, a provider of managed transportation services. This marks Redwood's second acquisition in the past week, following its purchase of Strive Logistics.
According to FreightWaves, the Stridas acquisition will allow Redwood to further enhance its managed transportation offering, which includes services such as freight procurement, transportation management, and supply chain optimization. Redwood CEO Eric Rempel stated that the deal 'reinforces our commitment to providing our customers with a comprehensive suite of logistics solutions.'
The addition of Stridas aligns with Redwood's strategy of expanding its portfolio of services to meet the evolving needs of its customers in the maritime and logistics industries. By integrating Stridas' expertise and technology, Redwood aims to offer its clients more robust managed transportation capabilities, enabling them to optimize their supply chains and drive greater efficiencies.
'This acquisition demonstrates Redwood's continued focus on growth through strategic investments that enhance our ability to serve our customers,' Rempel added. 'We're excited to welcome the Stridas team and look forward to the contributions they will make to our organization.'
The maritime industry has seen increased demand for comprehensive logistics solutions as companies navigate supply chain disruptions and seek to improve the resilience and visibility of their operations. Redwood's move to bolster its managed transportation services positions the company to better support its clients in navigating these challenges.
