The South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) is hosting its annual technology showcase, offering a rare opportunity for the maritime industry to get an up-close look at the latest advancements in clean transportation and air quality technology.
According to the press release, the free, hands-on event will feature 'one of the first zero-emission fire trucks in North America' along with 'next-gen zero-emission vehicles, drones & more.' This showcase aligns with growing demand across the maritime sector to adopt sustainable, low-emission solutions for vessels, port equipment, and supporting infrastructure.
'Reducing emissions from the maritime industry is critical to improving air quality and protecting public health in our coastal communities,' said South Coast AQMD's Executive Officer. 'This technology showcase gives industry leaders a chance to experience firsthand the impressive capabilities of the latest zero-emission solutions.'
The showcase will allow attendees to interact with the cutting-edge equipment on display, providing valuable insights as the maritime industry navigates the transition to greener operations.
