Lucid announces its first European dealer partnership, with German luxury automotive group Wackenhut set to launch sales and service operations.

In a move to strengthen its distribution presence in Europe, electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid has announced its first dealer partnership on the continent. The company will be working with Wackenhut, one of the most well-established premium automotive dealer groups in the region, to launch sales and service operations in Germany. According to the press release, Lucid's direct-to-consumer approach will be combined with Wackenhut's retail expertise to deliver a premium customer experience for Lucid buyers in Germany. Wackenhut operates a network of luxury vehicle dealerships across the country and is seen as an ideal partner to help Lucid expand its footprint in the important European market. "Wackenhut is one of the most respected names in the German automotive retail landscape, making them an excellent partner as we continue to grow our presence in Europe," said Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO of Lucid Group. "Their commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience aligns perfectly with Lucid's own values and priorities." The announcement comes as Lucid ramps up its global expansion efforts beyond its initial launch in North America. The company has previously signaled plans to enter markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia in the coming years as it seeks to challenge Tesla and other EV leaders worldwide. The new Wackenhut partnership represents an important milestone in Lucid's international strategy.
