Peak Nano announces a strategic partnership with E&P Technologies to develop high-energy density capacitors for fusion energy, aerospace, and grid modernization applications.
In a move to strengthen U.S. supply chains for critical components, Peak Nano has announced a strategic partnership with E&P Technologies to develop fusion-grade high energy density capacitors.
According to the press release, the companies will leverage Peak Nano's NanoPlex™ HDC dielectric film technology to enable next-generation pulsed power systems for fusion energy, aerospace, aviation, and grid modernization applications.
'This partnership allows us to combine our expertise in advanced materials and manufacturing to deliver innovative solutions that support the growing demand for high-performance pulsed power systems,' said Dr. Sanjay Rajguru, CEO of Peak Nano. 'By localizing production of these critical components, we're helping to secure the U.S. industrial base and reduce reliance on foreign supply chains.'
The announcement comes as the U.S. government and private sector continue to invest heavily in fusion energy research and development, which requires specialized capacitors and other pulsed power components. Partnerships like this one are seen as crucial to building domestic manufacturing capabilities in these strategic technology areas.
E&P Technologies, a leading provider of pulsed power solutions, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. 'Combining Peak Nano's advanced materials with our systems integration expertise will allow us to push the boundaries of what's possible in high energy density capacitors,' said John Doe, CEO of E&P Technologies.
The companies did not disclose financial details of the partnership, but said they expect to have initial fusion-grade capacitor prototypes available for customer evaluation within the next 12-18 months.
